Introduction to Charcoal Workshop
Introduction to Charcoal Workshop
5 week (10 hours) introduction to charcoal drawing.
Wednesdays February 5, 12, 19, 26 and March 5th 6-9 pm at my studio 46 Mill St, Almonte, Ontario.
This course will introduce the participants to my favourite art medium and is suitable for beginners and established artists.
Students will gain an appreciation for this flexible medium and will experiment with additive and subtractive methods to create depth, form and texture. I will share the tools and tricks I have discovered and developed over the last 35 years of loving charcoal.
The goal is not a completed "paint by numbers" project but rather a slow and steady approach that builds on skills from one week to the next. At the end of the five weeks participants will have a solid foundation in the medium and the confidence to create their own unique artworks.
*There is space for 8 participants. I reserve the right to cancel and refund payment if the course does not fill up.
